Furthermore, the Pay TV provider has equipped fifteen charity homes with decoders for one of their platforms, GOtv, all with complete yearly subscriptions.

Brian Mulondo, the Head of Local Content at MultiChoice Uganda, highlighted the value of adding such channels to their list of available channels for subscribers while speaking to the press at the launch and handover.

“We know that the need for local content and channels is growing, and as a result, Ugandans will have relatable stuff to watch on channels like Smart 24 TV,” he said.

Smart 24 TV, a Ugandan business station that broadcasts in English and Luganda, features a combination of local live conversation shows, special events, documentaries, and business news.

In addition to the introduction of Smart 24 TV, MultiChoice distributed GOtv Lite decoders with a year’s subscription to GOtv to entertain and educate charity homes and orphanages that the Smart 24 TV team suggested.

While handing over the decoders, GOtv Uganda Brand Manager Josephine Namuddu expressed gratitude to these charity homes for looking out for young and poor Ugandans, emphasizing the importance of businesses like GOtv Uganda finding ways to help these charities.

“With channels like Smart 24 now available to all Ugandans, we are convinced that business news and current events may be obtained via these channels.” In addition, we provide a diverse range of programming, including edutainment, entertainment, current events, and sports, to name a few,” stated Nathan Nabeta Igeme, Chairman of Smart24 TV.

Nabeta expressed gratitude to MultiChoice for allowing the station to reach a bigger audience via the GOtv platform.

“Now that we’re on the GOtv platform, the majority of our fans will have easy access to our material.” “It’s obviously one of our accomplishments to see that we’ve launched into GOtv,” he said, noting that Smart 24 TV began in 2018.
