As three more people perish in the Buloba crash, the police list the Ntungamo accident victims.

Both the Hyundai bus with the registration number RAD798B and the Scania bus with the registration number KCU054L, both owned by the Volcano Bus Company, were engaged in the collision.

Both the Rwandan driver of the Volcano bus, Murara Alphonse, and the Kenyan driver of the Oxygen bus, Omido David, passed away instantly.

The other four passengers include Burundian woman Ishingiro Mustafa, Gakulu Cloude, the conductor of the Oxygen bus, Hakizimana Etienne, a Rwandan passenger on the Volcano bus, and an unidentified Rwandan passenger on the Oxygen bus.

The Lotom Health Center in Muhanga received an estimated 40 passengers who were rushed there, according to ASP Faridah Nampiima, PRO Traffic and Road Safety.

“The driver of the Volcano bus, who eyewitnesses claim was from Kampala side but left his side and was driving from the right where he met an oncoming Oxygen bus from Kabale side whose driver tried to swerve to his extreme left in order to dodge the Volcano bus in vain and thus head-on collision,” she said.

“The deceased bodies have all been transported to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem,” she continued.

The Buloba traffic police have also reported a deadly collision that left three individuals dead on the scene and happened at the Forest Park along the Kampala-Mityana Road.

Four motor vehicles were involved in the collision: a semitrailer (KBA 580V), a Toyota Wish (UBH 089R), a Toyota Hilux (UBF 979V), a Toyota Harrier (UBH 008G), and two motorcycles (UEO 751Z and UEV 616M) (Bajaj Boxers).

Three Toyota Wish passengers passed away immediately. Three victims were hurt and transported to the neighboring clinic for treatment; there were two ladies and one man among them.

“It’s reported that a semi-trailer with the registration number KBA 580V that was traveling from Kampala to Mityana lost control and struck the Toyota Wish, killing three of its occupants and injuring two more.

“It then went ahead and rammed into the Toyota Hilux, Toyota Harrie, and the Motorcycles,” she continued. The deceased’s bodies were sent to the Mulago City Mortuary for an autopsy.
