Zambia: Over 100 candidates for the post of coach of the national team

Since Croatian Aljosa Asanovic left his position as coach of the Zambian Chipolopolos, the team is without a coach.

Additionally, a search for a head coach has been started by the Zambian Football Federation.

Making a decision will be challenging for the Zambian government. The president of FAZ, Andrew Kaminga, says that more than 100 applicants have applied to be the national team’s manager.

“In accordance with the publicly disclosed criteria, the committee is anticipated to provide a shortlist of candidates.

It should be made clear that, notwithstanding the ongoing discussion about whether the FAZ should hire a local or foreign coach, the emphasis should be on selecting a coach who is qualified, regardless of nationality “said Kaminga.

According to Andrew Kamanga, president of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), over 100 coaches have applied for the coaching position at Chipolopolo.

The hiring process for the new coach will start today, according to Kamanga.
