Macy had the bizarre idea of building a small house all by herself back in 2011. She didn’t hesitate much, and she decided to build it herself. She wanted to build a cozy home for her family and herself. She managed to finish her project and move in recently. As soon as she moved in, this miniature house turned into an internet sensation.

The idea to build such a house came to Macy Miller because she always had a curious and inquisitive nature. The first run-in with such houses was when she was in college, where she would visit people that live in these mini-homes. These visits only made her more curious and gave her more ideas.
She managed to do this while having a full-time job, and for this reason, it took her much longer to construct it than she anticipated. For this project to be finished, it took her an incredible six years.
She used sustainable materials during the process of construction, which was quite time-consuming, and that turned out to be one of the reasons why the process of building it lasted this long. Macy doesn’t plan to keep this house always there since in the future she wants to take it for a trip.
