West Ham’s Soucek had plastic surgery, according to Moyes.

Soucek was replaced in the second half of last weekend's 1-0 Premier League win over Everton after being accidently smacked in the face by forward Salomon Rondon's boot.

After undergoing reconstructive surgery for facial injuries, West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek will be available for Thursday’s Europa League encounter against Belgian club Genk at the London Stadium, according to manager David Moyes.

Soucek was replaced in the second half of last weekend’s 1-0 Premier League win over Everton after being accidently smacked in the face by forward Salomon Rondon’s boot.

Soucek was left with many cuts on his face as a result of the event.

On Wednesday, Moyes stated, “Tomas wants to play.” “He had his lip sutured again yesterday (Tuesday) by a plastic surgeon because it had been sewn up after the game and needed to be redone.

“Between his nose and his brows, he’s received a couple of stitches… I believe he is in good health.

“It’s simply a matter of deciding if we want to rest him or give him an opportunity to relax, but I don’t think his injuries are a cause not to play him.”

With two wins from two Europa League matches, West Ham leads Group H.
