“We will do everything we can to bring Museveni down in the eyes of the international community.”

Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has stated that his party will do everything legal to depose President Museveni and free Ugandans.

Ugandans will continue to suffer as a result of these burdens, Kyagulanyi told journalists, as long as “we have an illegal, illegitimate, looting dictatorship that focuses all of its resources on regime survival.”

“We want to cut off all life support to Gen Museveni’s regime so that, at the end of the day, the entire world is stopped from dealing with Museveni because dealing with Museveni implies being a collaborator in genocide.”

He explained that everyone who uses their words and deeds to help President Musevni lose power is a friend to Ugandans, while those who use their words to help him stay in office are enemies to Ugandans and the country as a whole.

On the simmering fuel crisis, he claimed Museveni failed to create any reserves and that whatever reserves he discovered after assuming power were either sold or rendered useless.

“Our nation is in peril because the common man is suffering,” he stated. “All of you have noticed boda bodas being stopped from the city and businesses, and the hawkers have been humiliated by the military because they feel the city must belong to the few,” he said.
