Valencia has risen to the top of LaLiga.

After a 1-0 win over Espanyol, Mallorca has seven points from three games and is in second place ahead of the rest of the weekend's matchups.

Valencia beat Alaves 3-0 on Friday to take over the top spot in LaLiga, with coach Jose Bordalas celebrating his previous club’s success.

Daniel Wass of Denmark scored after only three minutes at the Mestalla, with Carlos Soler making it 2-0 in first-half stoppage time.
On the hour, Goncalo Guedes of Portugal scored the third goal.

In a match between two teams promoted to the top division this season, Dani Rodriguez scored the solitary goal in the 27th minute to secure the three points.
