UPDF to recruit LDUs into UPDF
The applicants are expected to make a handwritten application detailing their age, nationality, marital status, and educational background, according to a press statement signed by Brig Byekwaso on August 19th.
The Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) has stated that local defense forces would be recruited into the UPDF beginning Monday, August 23rd, 2021.
According to Brig Flavia Byekwaso, a spokesperson for the UPDF, the recruitment is aimed at people aged 18 to 29, who have a minimum education of S.4 or an Artisan certificate, are medically and physically fit, and have a clean criminal record.
The applicants are expected to make a handwritten application detailing their age, nationality, marital status, and educational background, according to a press statement signed by Brig Byekwaso on August 19th.
According to the press release, successful candidates will have their names pinned at their respective district headquarters between September 2 and 16, when they will be contacted.
This is done in compliance with COVID 19 Standard Operating Procedures to prevent the transmission of coronavirus, she stated.
