UPDF spy remanded for shooting man dead in a bar

The General Court Martial in Makindye has remanded an UPDF official appended to the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence, the military's knowledge wing for giving dead a man in a bar in Nateete.

Maj Nelson Max Kyatuka, 50 connected to counter psychological oppression at CMI was on Monday summoned under the steady gaze of the court in Makindye and accused of one tally of homicide and two tallies of inability to secure conflict materials

As per the military indictment, on July, 14, 2021 at Nateete, Kyatuka supposedly shot dead Majid Mugwanya causing his passing.

Mugwanya was an inhabitant of Busega , Kibumbiro and a finance manager in Kampala and Entebbe.

“Its further asserted that on a similar date, Kyatuka neglected to ensure war materials to when he lost a gun to mind a gun Jerico type chronic number 45306156 and lost 15 rounds ammo for the said gun offenses which are in opposition to area 122 (I) (ii) of the UPDF Act of 2005,” the military examiner read the charges.

The case was deferred to August, 25, 2021 while Kyatuka was remanded to Makindye military police quarter watch up to that point.
