Arthur Nuwagaba, a warrant official II joined to the money office in the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence-CMI, Mbuya in Kampala was captured on Thursday.
His detainment originated from the capture of his associates in insight drove activities in Kidokoro zone, Kawempe Ttula, Kawempe division last week following reports of theft and pantomime by the suspects.
Two of the suspects are Ashraf Agaba and one Ahabwe. Their associate distinguished as Junior Ssedrak nom de plume Vincent Atwine who has been taking on the appearance of Assistant Superintendent of Police is currently on the loose.
A senior security source that was associated with the capture says that Nuwagaba has been providing the suspects with military and police garbs to take part in criminal operations.
“They have been moving around better places in Kawempe, and Makindye division focusing on bars and different organizations that could be set aside working past time limitation opportunity, claiming to authorize the check in time. We are told they likewise hold unlawful barricades where they deny individuals from the general population,” he said.
UPDF representative Brig. Flavia Byekwaso said she hadn’t yet been informed with regards to the captures.
Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police representative Luke Owoyesigyire said police have no clue about where the suspects have been getting police garbs.
Recently, police captured another UPDF impersonator Kyambadde Kasiryo Haruna, an inhabitant of Lugala Masanafu, in Rubaga division who was found possessing a pretend rifle gun, UPDF character card, regalia and nerve gas canisters, and housebreaking carries out.
His capture came days after the capture of Michael Yiga, Ronald Ssenyonjo, Kanyehamye Kakistone, an UPDF defector, and Juma Kaya who were additionally taking part in various thefts in Kawempe division.
