Uganda gets Olympians grant to retell the Akii Bua story

The Uganda Olympics Committee has an award that will empower it to recount the account of the nation's games legends, from John Akii Bua and 'The Beast' Mugabi, to Stephen Kiprotich, through TV and a book.

The venture named ‘Uganda’s Against All Odds: Uganda’s Olympic Legends’ will bring issues to light of Olympians’ accomplishments with a narrative, TV miniseries and book on Uganda’s Olympians and the battles they suffered to prepare, partake and, for a few, win awards at the Olympic Games.

Uganda originally contended at the Olympic Games in 1956, and has sent competitors to contend in each Summer Olympic Games with the exception of the boycotted 1976 Summer Olympics. Ugandans have won seven decorations, all in games and boxing.

The World Olympians Association (WOA) today reported 10 honor champs of the current year’s WOA Service to Olympians and Service to Society Grants. These are 10 ventures across each of the five mainlands that will switch the existences of networks up the world subsequent to being granted
