Uganda’s income from fare of dairy items has ascended from $131.5m (Shs 480bn) in 2018 to $205m ( Shs 750bn) in 2020 as per records from the Dairy Development Authority (DDA).
This was uncovered by Dr. Michael Kansiime, the leader chief, DDA during a virtual direction meeting with Frank Tumwebaze, the new Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries.
DDA is the public authority office commanded to create and control the dairy business and has a center goal to give appropriate coordination and effective execution of all administration arrangements.
Kansiime noticed that traded dairy items incorporate casein, protein powder and milk powder, among others.
Fares for the most part go to provincial business sectors of UAE, Syria, Japan, Oman, USA, Nepal and Bangladesh. He ascribed this to expanded consistence of Uganda’s milk and milk items.
