Invited by Brahima Traore, coach of the U17 Stallions to strengthen the national team of under 17 years of Burkina Faso in view of the U17 AFCON 2023 in Algeria, the young Ivorian striker Elohim Kaboré has not received permission from his club Asec Mimosas of Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) to participate in the competition which will take place from April 29 to May 19. A refusal that Aristide Bancé, former Burkina Faso international and former member of the staff of the senior Stallions, denounces.
“I tried to explain to him the importance of the player for the Stallions and the desire of the player to represent his country but I was very shocked and disappointed by his reaction on the phone. He told me that he is adamant about his decision. For him, the player will not participate in the competition with the Stallions Cadets. This way of talking to me shocked me, it is not human at all. He does not think about the player’s career. I’m not even sure that Roger Ouegnin knows about this case. It is anti-sporting on the part of Asec,” said Aristide Bancé.
