Ousmane Dembele has been given the opportunity to join Chelsea by Barcelona, who won’t continue in that direction with him.
In recent months, Dembele has received a lot of media attention due to persistent rumors that he will reunite with former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel adores the Frenchman and is eager to welcome him to the Premier League on a free contract to add some extra speed, ingenuity, and goals to that cutting edge.
Xavi was desperate to retain the services of the 25-year-old and has been pleading with Dembele to accept a new contract at Camp Nou, but according to GOAL, the Spaniard won’t elaborate on the offer he has made to the Frenchman.
The current proposal is the same one that has been made available since December, and Barcelona has no interest in cooperating on their terms, despite enthusiasm elsewhere.
With only four days left till the completion of his arrangement, it is currently up to the forward to make that choice.
When healthy, Dembele is one of the most creative players in La Liga, but for the past few seasons, he has struggled to stay on the field for Barcelona.
However, we acknowledge that it would be a risky move for the club to sign him this summer because they won’t know if they are getting the guy who helped La Liga the most this season or the player who shone at Dortmund.
Or, on the other hand, is Chelsea acquiring a player who spends more time watching his career pass him by because he is unable to stay fit?
