Tottenham must plan for Lloris’ long-term replacement, but concerns linger over Paratici’s future amid Juventus scandal.

Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has complimented Fraser Forster, who stood in for Hugo Lloris, by describing him as “fantastic” and “dependable.”

Recently, the ex-Celtic player, who was acquired on a free transfer from Southampton last summer, had to substitute for the injured Hugo Lloris. Lloris, a French international, sustained a knee injury last month, resulting in a six to eight week absence and leaving Tottenham without one of their key players.

Despite a lack of form in this season’s Premier League, Lloris’ experience as a veteran player is invaluable to Tottenham, making it a challenging task for Forster to replace the 36-year-old. However, the English goalkeeper seems to have gained Conte’s admiration for his temporary role as Spurs’ first-choice goalkeeper.

The Italian stated:

“For sure Fraser is playing very well. He’s showing to be a reliable player. He’s showing to be a really good guy.

“I remembered him well from in the Champions League when we played Celtic with Juventus. He impressed me and the way to be a keeper.

“At the same time, He’s a really good person, a positive person for this dressing room. I think it was a fantastic signing for the club and he’s showing he deserves credit.

“For sure Hugo is our keeper but before to come back he has to stay well. We won’t force the situation because he needs to be right and Fraser deserves credit. We are really happy with Fraser but when Hugo will be ready he is our first choice.”

In an interview with the media on Thursday, as reported by journalist Alasdair Gold, Conte showered praise on Forster for his dependability, referring to him as a “fantastic acquisition” for the club.

Forster has been an outstanding replacement for Lloris, standing at 6 foot 6 inches tall, but Tottenham needs to plan for the Frenchman’s long-term replacement as the summer approaches. According to reports, Spurs are considering Illan Meslier and Robert Sanchez from the English top-flight as potential successors. In addition, the club has been scouting Diogo Costa from FC Porto and Mike Maignan from AC Milan, indicating that they have several options to choose from.
