Tottenham could sack Nuno Espirito Santo following Manchester United’s thrashing
After Daniel Levy convened crisis discussions on Sunday, NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO is battling to avoid being fired.
Following Saturday’s humbling 3-0 home defeat by Manchester United, the Tottenham chairman addressed the manager’s future with sporting director Fabio Paratici.
Nuno, 47, is now facing a decision from Levy on whether or not to sack him after only five wins in their first ten Premier League games.
If Nuno is fired, he will have the shortest tenure of any full-time Spurs manager under Levy, with only 124 days in charge.
Jacques Santini, a French failure, was fired after 155 days in November 2004.
On Saturday, fans chanted ‘We want Nuno out’ at the Portuguese team.
The mood became poisonous as the North Londoners were unable to muster a single shot on target throughout the contest.
Fans blasted Levy for passing rather than shooting, and even Harry Kane was booed when he chose to pass rather than shoot.
