Blankets and Wine is returning with another premium music event aimed at showcasing excellent musicians in new afro-based music genres.
The inaugural edition of the year will feature live music performances, a pop-up market, and a food court, among other things, after an almost two-year absence due to a prohibition on physical events due to the epidemic.
The Lugogo Cricket Oval will host the event on March 27, 2022.
The post-lockdown edition coincides with the event’s tenth anniversary, and according to the organizers, the celebration will reinforce the DNA of Blankets and Wine in an all-new experience powered by Tusker Cider, with the theme “Blankets is Me.”
“Blankets and Wine is more than just a concert; it allows attendees to enjoy live music from some of Africa’s most brilliant performers, engage with friends, meet new people, and have a fantastic time.”
We hope to underline the essence of this event and give a great experience for everyone who attends as we celebrate our ten-year anniversary,” stated Chantal Ngenzi, General Manager of House of DJs.
According to the organizers, the return of Blankets and Wine will feature local and international performances from Uganda and other parts of Africa.
Spice Diana will perform alongside Cosign Yenze, and Uncle Waffles (South Africa), Nviiri the Story Teller (Kenya), and Bruce Melodie (Kenya) will round out the international lineup (Rwanda).
“During the event, consumers will be immersed in the world of Tusker Cider as they interact with the brand.” Tusker Cider, a new product on the market, is a rich and savory drink for consumers looking for innovative, easy-going, and interesting ways to have a good time,” said Simon Lapyem, Uganda Breweries’ Innovations Projects Manager.
