Prior to the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Angola, Thomas Partey traveled to Ghana with Arsenal’s team physio Simon Murphy. Partey and Murphy can be seen together in a social media video showing Partey joining the team camp in Accra. As preparations for the doubleheader continue, Partey arrived in Ghana on Tuesday and traveled with the Black Stars to Kumasi.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, Ghana will host Angola before leaving for Luanda for the second leg four days later. If they earn the most points in the two games, the four-time African champions will automatically qualify. With four points after two games, Ghana is presently tied with Angola atop Group E. Partey, meanwhile, is anticipated to be crucial during the qualifiers.
