Rwanda's new coronavirus legislation have lifted the ban on concerts. After an increase in Covid-19 instances linked to the Omicron version, the ban was implemented in December.
Rwanda’s new coronavirus legislation have lifted the ban on concerts. After an increase in Covid-19 instances linked to the Omicron version, the ban was implemented in December.
The cabinet has decided that concert organizers will submit a request for authorization 10 days prior to the event.
Tickets for the concert will be offered online, with a recommended capacity of 50% for indoor venues and 75% for outdoor locations.
Attendees at concerts must show proof of immunization.
Theatrical and cinema halls have also been given permission to reopen with a 50% capacity.
