The Olympic squad of Cameroon has recently been shaken by a crisis that has left many issues unanswered while the administration of the team is seriously questioned, just days after celebrating an away 2-3 triumph in Angola.

Due to films that were made public showing goalkeeper Bruno MBIANDJEU carrying a fake gun to scare his colleagues in a hotel room while in Angola, the five players were kicked out of camp.

Five U23 players from Cameroon were kicked out of camp for having and using a toy gun. Additional information indicates that the young goalkeeper of OGC NICE (Mbiandjeu) brought a fake or toy gun with him in an attempt to frighten his teammates. One of the staff members unknowingly recorded the incident, and the video eventually found its way to Benoît ANGOUA, the National Coordinator of Cameroon’s selections.

The latter demanded the immediate ejection of the five players in the video. The lone participant in the sad occurrence who plays professionally overseas, Jean Bruno Mbiandjeu, quickly returned to his French club after arranging his trip.

Ivan DJANTOU, who has six goals (a brace against Angola and four in previous friendlies), has also been returned to his original club Astres.

Mbiandjeu and Djantou participated in the opening leg of Cameroon’s 3-1 victory over Angola last weekend in Luanda.
How a player might possess such a thing while in training with the national team is still the major mystery. Are the players and their belongings not checked in at camp?

Mbiandjeu has already been replaced by Yong Sports Academy goaltender Ekoi Manfred, and other players are anticipated to replace those who were sacked.
