Marcus Stoinis, an allrounder for Australia, believes his hamstring is improving and that he could bowl again in the next warmup match against India before the Twenty20 World Cup.

Stoinis missed the Indian Premier League because to the strain and has only batted since returning to action.

He was enthusiastic about his condition after scoring 28 from 23 balls in Australia’s three-wicket triumph over New Zealand in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

Stoinis said of his hamstring, “I didn’t bowl tonight, but it’s tracking quite good.”

“It appears to be on the right track and ready to go. I’m guessing I’ll bowl in the following game.”

Stoinis’ bowling would help Australia, which went with a four-man specialist attack and seam-bowling allrounder Mitchell Marsh, who gave up 53 runs in four overs against New Zealand.

Stoinis batted at number five and had a 48-run partnership with No 4 batsman Steve Smith (35) as Australia played an almost full strength lineup following the return of senior players who had opted out of prior T20 tours.
Stoinis stated, “I think it’s a terrific start.”

“Obviously, we hadn’t played together in a long time, so it was wonderful to get a win, but also to try a few new things and give a few players a chance.”

On Wednesday, Australia takes on India in Dubai ahead of their World Cup opener against South Africa in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
