Spurs are dealt a double injury blow before of their match against Chelsea.

On the half-hour mark, Dutch winger Bergwijn limped out of the game, followed by Brazilian Moura, adding to Spurs' expanding injury list.

Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura of Tottenham Hotspur are both doubtful for Saturday’s Premier League match against Chelsea after suffering injuries in Thursday’s disappointing 2-2 Europa League tie with Rennes.

On the half-hour mark, Dutch winger Bergwijn limped out of the game, followed by Brazilian Moura, adding to Spurs’ expanding injury list.

The pair join striker Son Heung-min, defenders Eric Dier and Ryan Sessegnon on the injured list, with defender Japhet Tanganga suspended.

“It hurts, it hurts a lot,” Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo said to reporters. “The medical department is taking care of them, but it’s been difficult. It’s been a nightmare. I have to be truthful.”

Spurs, who reached the Champions League final in 2019, are competing in Europe’s third-tier competition for the first time after placing seventh in the Premier League last season.

“This is football, and we know we have to overcome this period,” Nuno concluded.

Spurs are seventh in the Premier League after losing for the first time this season at Crystal Palace last weekend, while Chelsea are still unbeaten and second behind Manchester United.
