Rustlers break onto Gen. Gutti’s farm and steal 40 cows.

Rustlers raided Gen. Andrew Gutti’s farm in Napak area for the third time, stealing 40 cows. Gutti is the chairman of the General Court Martial.
The rustlers raided the Lorengechora sub-county farm on Tuesday night, leaving everyone in awe of their bravery.
Rustlers assaulted the General’s property two months ago and stole 130 cows, but the army recaptured them.
The warriors set fire to Gutti’s orange grove and broke into his house in January, attempting to steal a tractor.
Gutti’s relative Jacob Yeno, speaking about the raid on Tuesday evening, said the rustlers were many and loaded with guns.
“They came armed with weapons at 8 p.m. and attacked us; by the time the soldiers arrived, they had moved the cows,” he claimed.
He claims, however, that the cattle’s tracks had been traced to the Nabilatuk district.
According to Kelementina Nakiru, a neighbor of Gen. Gutti’s property, the raiders have developed strong ties with cattle traffickers, and after raiding animals, they load them onto trucks.
“This has turned into organized crime, and I’m not sure what the government will do about it; we’re tired, and we’ve lost a lot of animals,” she said.
The attack on Gutti’s farm was verified by UPDF 3rd Division Spokesperson Capt Edrin Mawanda.
“Yes, the General’s farm was raided, and the warriors stole 40 cows, which our forces are investigating,” he replied.
