Toni Kroos, a German midfielder, is reportedly considering staying at Real Madrid after this season. He has interest from Manchester City and believes that the Santiago Bernabeu should offer guaranteed game time.
If he is not given the necessary playing time, Kroos may quit Real Madrid this summer, according to El Nacional. With the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco, manager Carlo Ancelotti will have options in the midfield for the upcoming campaign.
Kroos might be sold in the summer if he decides to go, El Nacional has revealed. Given that the midfielder still has one season left on his ebb and flow contract, Los Blancos won’t ask for more than €35 million for him.
The 32-year-old played a crucial role in the club’s UEFA Champions League victory last season and also helped them win La Liga. However, he worries that he may be relegated to the bench next season as the manager plans to go to the new midfield triplet formation.
Kross, a midfielder that Pep Guardiola sold to Bayern Munich, is a player that Manchester City is interested in. Despite agreeing to a deal for Kalvin, the manager is reportedly still looking for a midfielder this summer.
Toni Kroos of Real Madrid was persuaded to join Liverpool ahead of Manchester City
In front of Manchester City, Paul Robinson has urged Liverpool to sign Toni Kroos of Real Madrid.
According to the former Premier League goalie, the German would be fantastic for Jurgen Klopp and the Reds last year, according to Football Insider:
“Kroos is the type of player Liverpool are seeking at this time, that spot on the watch. They lack the resources and assets necessary to compete with other powerful clubs. Toni Kroos is 31 years old, but based on the way he plays, he still has four more years in him. It would be reasonably priced at £20 million. He is an exceptional player.
“I believe Liverpool’s squad is lacking there. (Georgio) Wijnaldum is sorely missed. A year ago, he participated in almost all games. However, on the off chance that they can land a player with Toni Kroos’ caliber in January… For a player of Kroos’ caliber, £20 million is nothing these days. Liverpool would benefit greatly from that agreement.
Liverpool and City battled valiantly for the Premier League championship the previous season, and they are expected to do so again this year.
