Match officials for FIFA Club World Cup Morocco 2022™ appointed
The FIFA Referees Committee has announced the match officials who will be in charge at the forthcoming FIFA Club World Cup competition in Morocco.
GHORBAL Mustapha is the only Referee from Africa. The Algerian will be accompanied by fellow country man GOURARI Mokrane who also was selected as an assistant referee. Tunisian HASSANI Khalil will also work as an assistant referee while JIYED Redouane from Morocco will be a Video Assistant Referee.
A total of 26 match officials, including six referees, 12 assistant referees and eight video match officials, have been chosen in close cooperation with the confederations.
The FIFA Club World Cup Morocco 2022 will be played from 1 to 11 February 2023
All selected match officials will attend the preparatory seminar starting in Rabat on 27 January.
Al Ahly of Egypt and Wydad of Casablanca Morocco will represent CAF at the tournament.
