Outgoing Prime Minister Rugunda welcomes new role as special envoy

Dr Rugunda was delegated PM in 2014 and served up to 2021

Active Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda has expressed gratitude toward President Museveni for the chance to fill in as the nation’s number three.

Dr Rugunda was selected PM in 2014 and served up to 2021 when President Museveni reported Robinah Nabbanja as the new PM assign. President Museveni reported the new bureau line up on Tuesday, June eighth.

On his authority Twitter handle (@RuhakanaR), Dr Rugunda expressed gratitude toward President Museveni for the chance to serve Uganda as executive.

He tweeted, “I say thanks to HE Kaguta Museveni for the chance he offered me to serve Uganda as Prime Minister and for the new task as a Special Envoy. I stay focused on supporting HE the President and the NRM in the change of our country. Much obliged to you for the help.”

Rugunda is currently an extraordinary emissary for uncommon obligations in the workplace of the president.

He additionally praised the recently selected Ministers and saluted the active Comrades for the administrations delivered to the country.

Rugunda (74) has been one of the longest serving pastors in the Ugandan government. He has stood firm on various pastoral footings since President Museveni rose to control in 1986. He is among the gathering that helped the National Resistance Army (NRA) wage a fruitful long term guerrilla war.

Affectionately alluded to as “Ndugu” (companion in Swahili), Rugunda is said to have stayed receptive and humble in spite of his different significant government positions.
