Pia Pounds, whose actual name is Tracy Kirabo, claims she is still bothered by unpopular music from the past.
During an interview on Spark TV’s “Mwasuze Mutya” show, presented by Faridah Nakazibwe, the former Big Talent Entertainment vocalist opened out about her prior music.
She emphasized that she used to release new songs on a monthly basis back in the day, but that it did not achieve the appropriate airplay.
That left her feeling disillusioned and depressed, to the point where she considered leaving music.
She described how she began to feel as if those around her, as well as those at her workplace, were uninterested in her.
Her producer, Kuseim, was the only one who kept her addicted to music. He gave her a lot of trust and faith in her abilities, which kept her going.
I used to compose music almost every month, although it wasn’t particularly popular at the time. It’s still a source of anxiety for me.
Around this time, I felt as if no one at work cared about me. My producer believed in me, but he had no idea what was wrong.
Pia is now a well-known singer, thanks to her “Tupaate” hit, which dominated the airwaves in 2021.
