Erling Haaland, a forward for Borussia Dortmund, has agreed to join Manchester City.

Manchester City have agreed a deal to recruit Norwegian striker Erling Haaland for £51.2million this summer.

When his contract with Borussia Dortmund expires at the end of the season, Haaland, 21, will join the Premier League club for £51.2 million. After signing for German side Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, the Norway international has scored 85 goals in 88 appearances for the club.

According to sources in France, a few members of Manchester City’s squad were unhappy with Haaland’s request for £400,000 remuneration for a seven-day period. He is expected to become the club’s second-highest-paid employee, after Kevin De Bruyne.

Recent developments in the transfer saga have “shaken” the City locker room to its core. Players were displeased with Jack Grealish’s £300,000 compensation for seven days at that moment. Grealish is now one of the highest-paid players at the club.

At the moment, Grealish isn’t one of City’s most important players. This season, he’s started just 21 games in the Premier League and scored twice. Guardiola’s inclination to challenge for the title annoyed some of the players, who were upset at the timing of the announcement.

To retain their Premier League title, Manchester City must focus on four games against West Ham at the London Stadium and Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium. Liverpool’s title opponents, Southampton, visit St Mary’s on Tuesday before hosting Wolves at Anfield on the last day of the season.

Despite the rumors, Foden has informed Sky Sports that he is excited for Haaland’s arrival. According to Foden, “It’s an incredible expansion to the ensemble.” In my opinion, he’s the best goal-scorer in the world right now.”

If he can help us, he’ll be excellent for us next season,” the coach said. Getting the club’s documentation in order is clearly a big deal. Despite the fact that we were without a striker this year, we performed admirably. He’s going to be a huge asset to whichever team he joins.

“We’re focusing on this season because he won’t be here until the next year. He’s the team’s key center this season, so it would be fantastic if he could contribute right away… When he gets behind, he’s all about the chase. We’ll benefit greatly from it.”

Haaland was a target for a number of prominent European clubs before City’s deal was announced recently. According to many supporters, Foden was largely responsible for persuading Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez to join him at the Etihad Stadium.

After City knocked Dortmund out of the Champions League in April 2021, Haaland and Foden were spotted conversing. Manchester United and Barcelona have both denied that the Englishman was seeking to persuade Haaland to join Pep Guardiola’s team in advance of them.

As soon as Foden learned about the incident in May 2021, he told Sky Sports, “We were merely discussing the fact that he squandered a handful of opportunities in that game.” As far as uniqueness goes, it wasn’t all that different from other people’s interpretations. “It was all about the game in general,” he said.
