Chemutai into the top six after placing fifth in Heat 2 of the women’s 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:16.66.
She has completed all tasks before Wednesday’s deadline.
Chemutai triumphed in the women’s 3000m steeplechase at the FBK Games in the Netherlands in June of this year.
Stella Chesang, an athlete from Uganda, ran a new national record on Saturday, finishing in 14th place in 31:01:04.
In the women’s 10,000-meter final, which was won by Ethiopia’s Letensebet Gidey, the world record holder, Mercyline Chelangat placed 16th.
In Heat 3 of the Men’s 1500-meter race, Ronald Musagala placed 13th in 3:40.87 and missed a spot in the semifinals.
