Parliament vets, clears seven new ministers
The Appointments Committee of Parliament has vetted and cleared seven new ministers who were recently appointed by President Museveni to his cabinet.
The Appointments Committee of Parliament has screened and cleared seven new priests who were as of late named by President Museveni to his bureau.
Having prior cleared Jessica Alupo and Robinah Nabbanja as Vice President and Prime Minister, parliament then, at that point turned spotlight on the new priests.
The panel led by the agent Speaker, Anita Among began with the Education and Sports Minister, Janet Kataaha Museveni who showed up before through zoom.
She was subsequently cleared.
Later different priests including Rebecca Kadaga(1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs ), Gen Moses Ali(2nd Deputy Prime Minister), Thomas Tayebwa(Chief Government Whip), Rukia Nakadama(3rd Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Port-folio), Jim Muhwezi(Security) , Kiryowa Kiwanuka(Attorney General) and Justine Kasule Lumumba(General Duties) likewise showed up before the advisory group and were appropriately cleared.
Arrangements Committee
The Appointments Committee of Parliament is led by the Speaker of Parliament and as indicated by rule 155(1) of the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure; the advisory group is liable for endorsing in the interest of parliament, the arrangement of people designated by the president.
The board should involve at least fifteen and not in excess of twenty individuals assigned by party whips based on corresponding gathering participation in the House thinking about the mathematical strength of the gatherings and the interests of Independent individuals.
The arrangements made by the president might be under the Constitution or some other arrangement needed to be supported by parliament.
The Speaker of Parliament, who is the seat, gets the rundown of names assigned for arrangement for the benefit of the board.
A name is considered endorsed by the council if the votes cast for that applicant establish a basic lion’s share of the board individuals present.
Individuals
The individuals from the advisory group are Gen Peter Elwelu(UPDF), John Baptist Nambeshe, Aisha Kabanda and Joseph Ssewungu all from the National Unity Platform whereasformer Leader of Opposition Betty Aol Ochan and Isaias Ssasaga will address Forum for Democratic Change on the panel.
Others are Alum Santa Sandra(UPC), Peter Okot(DP),Asuman Basaalirwa (JEEMA) and Santa Okot(PPP).
From the decision NRM party, are 22 MPs on the board including Joyce Moriku Kaducu, Frank Tumwebaze,Okullu Abuka, Betty Engola, Rose Akello, Dr. Florence Assimwe, Sarah Mateke, Arinaitwe Rwakajara, Fred Kambale, Diana Mutansingwa and Sarah Najjuma.
Others are David Kabanda, Robinah Rwakojo, Cissy Namuju, James Kubeketeriya, Denis Orone, Patrick Aeku, Irene Muloni, Fadil Twalla, Alex Ndezi, Benard Odoi and Catherine Mavenjina.
