Gaza, Palestine | BAZZUP | According to the Gaza-based Health Ministry, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli assaults on the Gaza Strip reached 9,488 on Saturday, and the four-week-old Israel-Hamas confrontation shows no signs of abating.

According to ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qedra, 24,000 more people were wounded in the Palestinian territory during this time.

According to the ministry, Israeli forces murdered at least six Palestinians on Saturday in the al-Nusairat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Four other Palestinians were slain in Rafah, a city south of the Gaza Strip, and one more in a home west of Gaza City.

According to a Palestinian security source who requested to remain anonymous, “On Saturday, the Israeli warplanes launched intensive raids on the neighborhoods of Al-Nasr, Sheikh Radwan, and Al-Shati Camp, west of Gaza City, as well in Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun in the northern Strip.”

Numerous Palestinians, the majority of whom were displaced persons on the street, were killed and injured when Israeli fighter planes targeted Al-Naser Hospital earlier in the day, according to the ministry.

“The victims’ corpses were strewn all over the place… a true tragedy for the displaced individuals who attempted to flee their deaths, according to a nearby eyewitness.

The assault on Al-Naser Hospital occurred one day after a similar event in front of Gaza’s main medical facility, Al-Shifa Hospital, that resulted in over 13 fatalities and several injuries.

On Friday, the Israeli army said that it had struck the ambulance that the Hamas terrorists were using.

According to Salama Maarouf, the director of the government media office in Gaza, several Israeli bombings on Friday targeted solar energy sources near Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals, resulting in a massive fire in both facilities and the outage of the generators.

As the Israeli army troops moved on the ground for the second week in a succession, noises of fighting and explosions could still be heard in numerous regions south, north, and west of Gaza City, according to Palestinian security sources and civilians on Saturday.

The military branch of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, released a video clip on Friday that showed its members destroying several Israeli tanks in the northern and southern Gaza Strips.

The Israeli army, meanwhile, said that the ground assault on Gaza will continue. Israeli soldiers conducted operations in the northern Gaza Strip for several hours on Friday night, according to Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee.

“Our soldiers engaged in combat with fifteen armed persons in the northern Gaza Strip during the battle yesterday night. He stated, “The forces killed several of them and ordered tanks to destroy three Hamas reconnaissance sites.”

Adraee reports that as part of 150 air and ground rescue operations on Friday, over 260 injured troops were flown to hospitals in Israel.

According to a report published in the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth on Friday, it is anticipated that the ground operation in Gaza would last for a few more weeks, pushing farther into Gaza City to seize control of Hamas leadership locations and objectives.

Following a surprise offensive by Hamas on October 7, which included hundreds of missiles fired into Israeli territory and infiltration, Israel retaliated with airstrikes, infantry operations, and punitive measures, including a blockade of the Gaza Strip.

At least 1,400 Israelis have died in the confrontation between Israel and Hamas, the bulk of whom perished in the Hamas onslaught on October 7.
