Over 5000 Visitors to Grace Second Uganda Pharma and Healthcare Expo
The Uganda Pharma & Healthcare Exhibition’s second edition will be held at the UMA Show Grounds in Kampala, Uganda, from February 16–18, 2023, according to information released by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Uganda Manufacturers Association, the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda, and other partners.
The show, according to the organizers, will serve as Uganda’s entry point for the East African pharmaceutical, medical, and healthcare industries.
According to them, Uganda will have a huge opportunity to take advantage of the untapped East African market thanks to the international expo.
After past successful editions in Tanzania and Uganda, the show is one of several planned shows being organized in the East African Belt.
Medical practitioners from the East African region will attend the event in Uganda, together with pharmacists, hospitals, health organizations, importers and exporters, decision-makers, and medical professionals.
This event will have exhibitors from about 8 or more nations who want to learn more about the unexplored market in East Africa.
More than 150 exhibitors will participate in the Uganda Pharma Healthcare International Expo, taking up a total of almost 3000 square meters.
Over 5000 guests from Uganda and the rest of East Africa will visit the exhibition over the course of three days.
The Ministry of Health’s Commissioner of Pharmacy and Natural Medicine, Dr. Seru Morries, stated that the expo is timely given that the government is attempting to form partnerships with private businesses to make it easier to receive medical care.
Dr. Lukwago Muhammad from the National Drug Authority urged the regional pharmaceutical investors to use this exhibition to highlight the medications made in their region.
