Manchester United could offer seven stars to help Erik ten Hag’s summer transfer spending plan, with the current figure sitting at a meager £120 million, which will not go far.

Erik ten Hag is rumored to have been given a £120 million transfer budget at Manchester United this summer, implying that he could sell some of United’s undesirable stars to fund his true capacity spend.

Ten Hag must join five players in a variety of positions, with two defenders, one midfielder, and two attackers designated. Obviously, £120 million is a lot of money, but in today’s market and with so many positions to fill, it won’t get United very far.

Ten Hag should make deals to help the assets available to him in this manner, making for a hectic summer for chief John Murtough. Furthermore, seven stars may be offered to raise funds for Ten Hag to have an impact this summer.

Unfortunately for United, they assumed they would receive £20 million for Andreas Pereira, who is currently on loan at Brazilian club Flamengo. Regardless, despite the fact that it appeared to be a solid deal, they have changed their mind, and the midfielder will return to United this summer.

In any case, Pereira has no future at United, and regardless of whether they can raise £15 million from a deal, it could go a long way. Anthony Martial is another player set to return from a loan spell, with Sevilla reportedly unwilling to commit to a long-term deal.

It remains to be seen whether the Frenchman has a future under Ten Hag, but if Martial can find another admirer, he could fetch a cool £25 million, which is what he is currently valued at according to Transfermarkt. Though United requires more attacking fortifications, they must replace excess stars defensively, and this summer could be a fire sale.

Along with Juan Mata. Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, and Paul Pogba are all set to depart, as attacking regions require more bodies. However, as a precaution, they could sell any resemblance of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, or Alex Telles.

Bailly and Jones are trailing the dominance hierarchy, which includes Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, and Victor Lindelof, and Brandon Williams will return from his advance spell at Norwich. According to reports, he may be given another chance, as may Luke Shaw if he can regain his form.

Alex Telles could be offered in this manner, and there is a choice to be made north of two different stars. Both Britain’s Dean Henderson and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have become unappealing, and they could be two of United’s most important players to secure required reserves.

Wan-Bissaka has been replaced in the United squad by Diogo Dalot, and Henderson has been linked with a move to Newcastle this summer. David De Gea appears to be staying at United for the foreseeable future, implying that Henderson could be no. 1 elsewhere.

Henderson was considered to replace De Gea two seasons ago after a stellar season with Sheffield United, but the Spaniard has since proven why he is the undisputed number one. Wan-Bissaka cost United £50 million a few seasons ago and could be a good investment.

Ten Hag has previously made numerous changes to the backroom staff at United, but if he is to have an impact, he should do the same with the players. Because £120 million may not be enough, he may need to make a quick squad evaluation when pre-season begins.
