Ntoroko district NRM chairperson was assassinated

After the tragic news of the assassination of Ntoroko district acting NRM chairperson, Jepherson Kabagambe Aheebwa, there is a gloomy attitude in the district.
According to RDC Meshach Ruhaga Kawamara’s latest information, the deceased went to Fort Portal with a colleague last evening, and they went to a bank, where the deceased’s friend used an ATM machine, leaving Kabagambe outside the bank, but when he came out of the ATM booth, he tried in vain to locate the deceased.
Kabagambe stated he had gotten a lift from downtown in Kisenyi Fort entrance and was on his way to Karugutu town council in Ntoroko district when contacted.
However, the dead called his colleague in half an hour, informing him that he was in desperate need of two million shillings and that he required the money right now; when he tried to inquire about his location, the phone went silent.
After failing to wait for Kabagambe to return home, the deceased’s relatives went to the police station to file a missing person complaint and begin a search.
It was with great surprise that the district learned this afternoon via social media platforms of viral images of the deceased, whose body had been discovered in Ibanda district.
The Rwenzori west region police spokesperson, Lameck Kigozi, said he had received information that he had not yet digested, but referred us to the regional police spokeswoman for more information.
Twesige Vincent, a spokeswoman for the Rwenzori regional police, told URN that he had not yet acquired facts concerning the deceased.
