A new leadership group has been selected by President Museveni to lead the Public Service Commission.
Museveni named the chairperson and vice chairperson of the Public Service Commission, together with seven other members, in a letter to the Speaker of Parliament dated June 6.
Part of the letter, which was copied to the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Minister for Public Service, states, “By virtue of powers granted to the president under Article 165(2) of the Constitution, I hereby appoint the following persons to the Public Service Commission.”
Winnie Agnes Kabogoza Musoke will serve as the team’s chair, with Francis Oryang Lagony serving as a substitute.
Dr. Hilda Musubira, a former presidential principle private secretary, was replaced by Lagony after her passing in April.
As other members of the commission, there are Grace Tubwita, Hajjat Kamulegeya Jamillah, Mugisa Michael, Beingna Mukibi, Titus Kisambira Mutanda, Olaunah Emmanuel Ourum, and Adah Kabarokole Muwanga.
The letter stated, “This is to transmit their names and curriculum vitae to you for legislative approval.”
