According to William Samoei Ruto, the president of Kenya, the problems obstructing the flow of petroleum products between his nation and Uganda are being fixed.

Ruto said this on Monday at the Kisozi farm in the Gomba district during a meeting with President Museveni and Raila Odinga, the head of the Azimio la Umoja–One Kenya Coalition Party.

Ruto and Museveni talked about issues that both Kenya and Uganda found interesting.

“I’m relieved that the problems obstructing the transportation of petroleum products between Uganda and Kenya are being fixed. After the discussion, Ruto stated, “We have decided on a course of action for sourcing and scheduling imports for the region in a way that will ensure we achieve the most competitive pricing and maximum logistical efficiency.”

Ruto and Museveni also spoke on the necessity of the two nations moving quickly forward with the planning and building of the previously imagined Eldoret-Kampala-Kigali refined petroleum product pipeline.

Raila, for his part, stated that he attended the conference to talk about the East African Community’s growing regional integration.
