Eoin Morgan, England’s white-ball captain, intends to participate in next year’s Twenty20 World Cup, but the 35-year-old is unsure if he will be part of the team’s title defense at the 50-overs World Cup in 2023.

The T20 World Cup will be held in Australia next year, followed by the one-day World Cup in India in 2023.

The Morgan-led England squad overcame New Zealand in a dramatic final at Lord’s to claim the 50-overs trophy for the first time in 2019.

Morgan told the BBC https://www.bbc.com/sport/cricket/58993305 on Thursday, “I certainly see myself this time next year playing, hopefully, a really strong role in another T20 World Cup.”

“That is the standard I have set for myself.”

“About the other two, I’m not sure” (tournaments). Obviously, your performance and the frequency with which you are retained are determined by your results. My appetite and determination, on the other hand, are as strong as they’ve ever been.”

Morgan has represented England in 243 one-day and 102 Twenty20 matches.
