Mr Tamale Mirundi snr, a political analyst and former Presidential Press Secretary, has stated that NUP Chairman Nyanzi Fred Ssentamu is unfit to be the Kampala Central MP, and has advised him to withdraw the case he has against Nsereko. Tamale claims that it is self-evident that the people of Kampala cannot be led by a “half-baked” Nyanzi, leaving out Nsereko, because Kampala has a lot of politics in nearly everything, necessitating a very knowledgeable legislator not of Nyanzi’s grade.
Bobi Wine, according to Tamale, is being let down by his brothers, who are so hungry that they are using his fame to climb the political ladder instead of cultivating opponents who could have been his allies.
“Nsereko would be a good member of NUP, but Nyanzi has created a chasm between him and Kyagulanyi. When it comes to power, you need as many allies as possible. “Nyanzi is simply betraying his brother,” Tamale argues. Tamale goes on to say that Kyagulanyi should take a page from Gen Museveni, who has refused to allow members of his family to run for political office even when he is confident they will win, saying that it is a good gesture to show that the race for positions is not just for the family, but for everyone.
Tamale has asked Kyagulanyi to train his brothers to steer away from chicken fights since their greed jeopardizes his plans to seize power.
