Minister storms football match with pistol, demands his wife

ese Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Peter Mayen Majongdit has blended debate subsequent to upsetting a women's association league requesting for evacuation of his better half (wife).

South Sudanese Media reports show the occurrence occurred on Saturday during a National League match in which Majongdit’s better half Aluel Garang was playing in, around there.

During the match, the troubled pastor raged the pitch and requested that coordinators stop the match so he could take his significant other back home who he said had left their three-month child home and unattended to.

Regardless of the authorities begging him to stand by so the match could end, Majongdit wasn’t prepared to tune in as he pulled out his gun shooting shots noticeable all around prompting surrender of the match.

This, nonetheless, didn’t go down well with the furious fans who promptly pursued him from the match.

Following the episode, South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) gave an assertion communicating frustration for the ‘inappropriateness act’ (sic) by the clergyman.

“Subsequently, we censure such offense act by a mainstream and mindful faculty serving in higher situation in the Government. The Administration of SSFA will keep on remaining steadfast and help out the public authority to see our ladies being offered opportunity to play and exercise their abilities openly with certainty” SSFA said in an articulation.

In the mean time, Majongdit has since denied the claims.

This isn’t the time a South Sudanese public authority has been engaged with such ill-advised demonstrations. In 2013, Hon. Abdallah Deng Nhial, previous Minister of Environment was terminated by President Kiir for slapping a Member of Parliament, without trying to hide a couple of days in the wake of accepting his office.

Presently, a segment of web-based media clients in the nation is calling for terminating of Majongdit from his pastoral situation for his offense throughout the end of the week.
