One of football’s greatest players Lionel Messi is finally leaving the one club he has played for all his career – Barcelona.
Despite Barcelona and Messi reaching an agreement and their clear intention to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of financial and structural obstacles, the club have confirmed. 
As a result of this situation, Messi shall not be staying on at FC Barcelona.
