After defeating defending champion Naomi Osaka and three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber in the first two rounds, Fernandez, who turned 19 on Monday, will face Ukraine’s fifth-seeded Elina Svitolina.
Second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus will face defending French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova of Czech Republic in the night session.
Sabalenka reached the Wimbledon semifinals for the first time in her career.
The final match on Ashe pits Spanish 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz against Canadian 12th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime, who defeated Greek third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. The winner will play in his first Grand Slam semifinal.
