Masaka city pioneers, taxi administrators in disagreement regarding unlawful parks
Masaka, Uganda For longer than 10 years at this point, the taxi administrators under their umbrella of Masaka United Taxi Drivers and Operators Cooperative Society-MUTDOCs, have been working from a transitory taxi park situated along the Kampala street in the focal point of Masaka town.

Before the lockdown limitations were facilitated, Masaka city pioneers gave a public notification forbidding every single unlawful stage and stops working nearby, on grounds they are making disarray in the town.
Florence Namayaja and Godfrey Bamanyisa, the Masaka City Mayor and Town Clerk separately, taught police and other law implementation groups to crackdown every single insubordinate driver and power them back to their gazetted spaces of tasks.
Anyway since Monday, there have been conflicts between the pioneers and administrators.
The drivers drove by Bashir Mawanda, the Chairperson of Masaka United Taxi Drivers and Operators Cooperative Society-MUTDOCs have wouldn’t get back to the gazetted park. Mawanda contends that it is situated far away from the town place which restricts its simple openness by the travelers.
As per Mawanda, the city authority neglected to chip away at the frontage roads to the recreation center, which he says is presently not so good with gigantic potholes and a ton of residue.
Joseph Kaweesi, another cabbie contends that the taxi park was gazetted in a secluded spot which compromises the wellbeing of travelers.
Florence Namayanja, the Masaka City Mayor says that working from the illicit stages has prompted intermittent obliteration and defacement of new street foundation, something she says her authority can’t endure.
Godfrey Bamanyisa, the Masaka City Town Clerk says they will keep drawing in with the administration of taxi administrators to empower them to see the value in the meaning of reestablishing request in the town.
He says that their common works office is dealing with modalities of further developing the taxi park to make it accommodative to both the drivers and travelers.
