Manchester United’s Double Transfer Swoop for Bellingham and Osimhen Depends on Qatari-Linked Ownership Bid

Manchester United’s Double Transfer Swoop for Bellingham and Osimhen Depends on Qatari-Linked Ownership Bid

According to Mark Goldbridge, if Sheikh Jassim acquires Manchester United, the club may be able to secure the signings of Victor Osimhen and Jude Bellingham simultaneously with the help of Qatari funds.

According to recent reports, the future ownership of Manchester United remains uncertain as the Glazers consider bids from Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The outcome of the sale will likely impact the club’s spending in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Various transfer rumors have already been circulating, with United being linked to several players including Borussia Dortmund’s Bellingham and Napoli’s Osimhen. Goldbridge has expressed his belief that if Sheikh Jassim’s bid is successful, the club may have the financial resources to acquire both players, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s ability to do so remains in question.

He said: “If we sell to Qatar tomorrow, you can probably start getting in the bid for Jude Bellingham next week. In which case, he becomes a Man United player.

“If you sell to Sir Jim Ratcliffe, what sort of budget is there available in the summer? Maybe you can go for Bellingham and maybe you can’t. Maybe it’s Bellingham or Osimhen.

“Maybe with Qatar, it’s both.”

It is possible that Manchester United may sign both Bellingham and Osimhen in the upcoming transfer window, but it would depend on several factors. Both players are in high demand, with top clubs such as Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester City also interested in Bellingham, while Osimhen is linked to PSG and Chelsea, among others.

The cost of acquiring both players would be significant, so only clubs with substantial financial resources would be able to afford them. Sheikh Jassim’s reported bid of £5.5bn could give Manchester United the financial edge to secure the signings of both players. However, it is important to note that Financial Fair Play regulations and the willingness of Dortmund and Napoli to sell their players would also come into play.
