On Thursday, the suspect was apprehended at the Atimikica Guest House in Pader town council, where he had rented a room with another colleague on the run.
According to one of the guest house employees who desired anonymity owing to the sensitivity of the case, the suspects checked into the guest home on Thursday morning.
They were apprehended during a security operation in Pader town council to monitor hotels and lodges ahead of the funeral of former Deputy Inspector General of Police Maj Gen Paul Lokech on Friday at his ancestral home in Paipir village, Luna Parish.
Gen. Lokech’s remains arrived from Kampala yesterday aboard a military chopper that landed on the playgrounds of Archbishop Flynn Secondary School.

The arrest of the suspect was confirmed by Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson David Ongom Mudong.

He said the suspect, who is being held at Pader Central Police Station, is being interrogated, and that his accomplices are being sought.
Security has since been increased at the burial place and throughout the district, according to Ongom.
