Malta Guinness Women Premier league match day 15 wrap: Faith Ladies tame Police Ladies, Ampem Darkoa thumps Candy Soccer as Hasaacas beat Army Ladies

The Ghana Women’s Premier League is gradually drawing down it curtains as match day 15 has ended across all league centers.

At the Southern zone, Faith Ladies FC did a comeback over Police Ladies FC to record a victory at home.

Elsewhere in Sekondi at the Gyandu Park, Hasaacas Ladies defeated Army Ladies FC to extend the lead on the table after slow start of the season.

At the Northern sector, Pearl Pia Ladies suffered a shocking 3-2 defeat to Tamale Super Ladies.

Bottom placed Fabulous Ladies FC also grabbed a victory away as they beat Supreme Ladies FC by 2-1.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies 5-0 Candy Soccer Academy

Ampem Darkoa Ladies demolished newbies Candy Soccer Academy by 5-0 on Monday afternoon at the Ohene Ameyaw park in Techiman.

Comfort Yeboah shot the home-side ahead with a calm finish just two minutes into the game.

Back from the break, Mary Amponsah doubled the lead for the Nanamma in the 59th minute.

Amponsah made history as she scored one of the fastest hat tricks in women football, scoring in the 59th, 60th and 61st minute of the game for Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

Elizabeth Owusu topped up with a 90th minute strike to seal the huge victory for the reigning women premier league champions.

FAITH LADIES 2-1 POLICE LADIES FC

Faith Ladies FC came back from a goal down to record a 2-1 victory over Police Ladies FC at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman on Friday afternoon.

Josephine Boateng gave the security service team an early lead in the 12th minute but Police ladies failed to hold on to the lead as Faith Ladies FC drew level through Mafia Nyame on the half hour mark to ensure they go to the break on even.

The experienced midfielder had her second of the day and the match decider with a beautiful finish in the 70th minute.

The victory pushes Faith Ladies FC closer to the top of the league table occupied by Hasaacas Ladies.

HASAACAS LADIES 3-0 ARMY LADIES

Hasaacas Ladies FC beat Army Ladies to widen gap on the league table of the southern zone.

The Hasmal ladies ensured the wade off competition from the Army Ladies side who seems to have given them a run for their money this season.

Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring account for coach Basigi’s side with a stunning strike in the 15th minute.

Few minutes later, the home-side added the second and it was an own goal from visitors.

Doreen Copson added insults to injury with her 73rd minute strike. The victory pushes Hasaacas Ladies FC 6points clear at the top of the league table.
