Kortney Hause, an ASTON VILLA defender, has spoken out about how five criminals tried to kidnap him on Boxing Day last year.

The former Wolves defender was not chosen in Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad for the Fulham match, so he went to visit friends and relatives in Essex.

Hause went shopping with a friend the next day at Oxford Circus, but was followed home by thugs for 40 minutes.

Hause fought back but had what he says felt like a bottle hit him

In the second segment of a documentary named PowerHause Journey ft. Kortney, the 26-year-old stated he felt it was a joke.

He went on to say: “I’ve walked to my front door, my son has pulled over, and a car with tinted windows has drove up and then stopped.

“All of the doors opened save the driver’s door, and about five guys sprang out of the car, and I thought to myself, ‘Is this some kind of prank?’

“I remember there was a tall guy and the other guys were about average height, but the tall guy was like, ‘grab him, grab him, grab him,'” says the narrator.

Hause put up a struggle and managed to ‘dash’ one of his assailants before being hit with a bottle, according to him.

Hause managed to throw one of his attackers before the bigger one, giving the orders, stepped in

Hause suffered a bad cut on the side of his head.

“I thought he’s going to punch me,” he said, “but then he like… it must have been a bottle because it smashed, it must have been the end of a bottle and that’s where I got that scar.”

“He literally whacking my head with a bottle gave me that scar.”

The Villa defender eluded his pursuers for a brief while and dashed down the road, but he didn’t knock on a neighbor’s door.

“I don’t know what to do,” Hause added. Do I knock on the door and ask for assistance?

“However, I’m thinking… black dude, do you understand?” 6ft2 with blood streaming down his face and down his head.

Hause managed to make it to the nearby hospital, but was left with a nasty cut

“They’d assume it had something to do with gangs or whatever.” “No one is going to come to my aid.”

Instead, Hause chose to flee to a neighboring hospital, but he was apprehended by his assailants in a car just as he arrived.

Hause was terrified that a pistol would be drawn against him at this point.

“I can’t even see through the window,” he added, “it’s like a nightmare when you can’t even see the person’s face, it’s like a blur.”

“It’s just black, isn’t it?” says the narrator.

‘Who is this?’ I wonder. I know it seems crazy, but I assumed the window was broken.

“I was afraid they’d pull out a gun and shoot me. ‘Why are you chasing me so hard?’ I wondered. ‘I’m sure you want me dead.'”

The sound of an ambulance nearby startled his assailants, leaving Hause a brief window of opportunity to seek assistance.

Hause requested assistance, but had to wait 15 minutes before receiving it.

He made a full and speedy recovery, joining Aston Villa on loan and then on a permanent basis shortly after the incident.

Hause scored the game-winning goal in Villa’s 1-0 win against Manchester United in September, but has not appeared since a 4-1 loss to West Ham at the end of October.
