Sad news coming from Kampala suburb, Kireka indicates that an upcoming audio producer identified as Draville Allano, was clobbered to death by thugs in his studio making off with all his equipment in the wee hours of Thursday 17th, 2021.
The information concerning the death of producer Draville Allano was disclosed by Ssalongo Producer Rinex who cautioned producers to be keen about their safety and security while working late at night.
Producer Rinex also requested fellow producers to at least install CCTV cameras in their studios that can record each and every event that transpires during recording sessions.
He further asked producers to always make sure that their clients hold valid national IDs and U.M.A in order to avoid such nasty incidences from taking place.
He also pleaded with audio producers to register with the Audio Producers Association Uganda (APAU) in efforts to create a smooth working environment for producers.
This producer was murdered in his studio last night in Kireka and all his studio equipment was stolen. May his soul Rest In Peace. This calls for us music producers to be cautious about our safety and security.
You have to know which kind of musician you’re dealing with. Avoid working during night hours unless you have a special arrangement or a strong relationship with the musician.
Install CCTV cameras in and around your studios. Make sure the client has a valid national ID and U.M.A ID. Don’t converge people around your studios unless you have business with them. And lastly, Audio Producers, subscribe to APAU (Audio Producers Association Uganda) because it’s our mandate to create a smooth working environment for our members. President APAU.
