In a meeting with Dmitry Mazepin, head of the Commission on Mineral Fertilizer Production and Trading of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Putin stated that artificial barriers to the export of Russian fertilizers have been put up by some nations, which have a negative impact on international markets.

According to Mazepin, sanctions have caused more than 400,000 tons of fertilizers produced by various Russian companies to be held up in European ports.
