In Bangladesh, the second-string New Zealanders prepared for spinning pitches.

In early September, the Tigers will host the Blackcaps in another five-match series as part of the team's preparations for the Twenty20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in October-November.

New Zealand is expecting slow-turning wickets in Bangladesh for its T20 series, similar to those used by the hosts in their recent triumph over Australia, according to Kiwi fast bowler Hamish Bennett.

When the visiting batsmen struggled on the low, slow wickets, Bangladesh beat Australia 4-1 in early August.

In early September, the Tigers will host the Blackcaps in another five-match series as part of the team’s preparations for the Twenty20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in October-November.

“It was a lot of fun playing games” (against the Australians). I’m guessing it’ll be the same. “We are grateful for the Australia series because it has given us insight into how Bangladesh will approach us,” Bennett said.

“However, knowing how they would approach us is one thing, and performing in such conditions is quite another.”

“We’ll have four or five days of training to see if our game plans work on these surfaces.”

In their previous two tours to Bangladesh, New Zealand had only won one Twenty20 match due to their inability to deal with the local spinners.

Despite their recent record, the Kiwis chose a second-string side for their tour of Bangladesh, with none of the country’s Twenty20 World Cup-bound squad traveling.

In the absence of Kane Williamson, Tom Latham takes over as captain.

Bennett believes Bangladesh might offer them a turning pitch to help the home spinners.

“I believe that whenever Bangladesh visits New Zealand, we make bouncy and pacy ones that they dislike, and when we visit them, they generate those that turn and ones that we dislike.” “I think it’s fantastic,” he stated.

On the 1, 3, 5, 8, and 10 September, New Zealand and Bangladesh will play behind closed doors at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
