In a lavish ceremony, George The Poet marries his longtime lover Sandra.

Mpanga was born on the St Raphael's Estate in Neasden, north-west London, to Ugandan parents. Joyce Mpanga, a Ugandan politician and former cabinet member, is his paternal grandmother.

George Mpanga, popularly known as George The Poet, a British Ugandan spoken-word artist, poet, and rapper, married his longtime partner Sandra Diana Makumbi in a lavish ceremony over the weekend.

After a recent surprise proposal that the Podcast host staged as a short photo session, the couple exchanged vows in front of their parents in the United Kingdom.

Marv Brown Films captured the historic events that took place at Hedsor House and Park, an Italianate-style house in Hedsor, Buckinghamshire, positioned overlooking the River Thames.

Mpanga was born on the St Raphael’s Estate in Neasden, north-west London, to Ugandan parents. Joyce Mpanga, a Ugandan politician and former cabinet member, is his paternal grandmother.

Sandra, who just traveled to East Africa to prepare for her engagements, is also of Ugandan descent and works for George The Poet Limited as Head of Operations.

Mpanga shared his joy at marrying Sandra, who has remained a constant in his life.

Sandra also expressed her love for Mpanga in a stirring letter she shared on social media.

“I married my closest friend, and it was the most beautiful day of my life! We thank God for allowing us to celebrate our love in this manner, and I thank my Husband for providing me with the wedding of my dreams,” she said.
